PixRenamer is a small file renaming utility for the most common renaming tasks. It's basic features include the automatic preselection of different graphic file-formats and numbering options.

Although the program is merely intended for the renaming of large quantities of images, it can rename other kinds of files as well.
To make the -sometimes tricky- renaming process safer, by default the program will warn about double file-names, forbidden characters, and the possible renaming of system critical files.
